Hello, Manchester! It was amazing to hear about a website dedicated to the town in which i mostly grew up. I graduated in 1995 and was a member of the 1994 Blue Devil team that lost in the state finals to Brooks County! No love lost, though. I have moved on to do lots of things. I took my love of football and got a scholarship to play at Northwestern Oklahoma State University and won a National Championship there. Atferwards, i went on to play professionally in the Arena Football league, the National Indoor Football League, the Canadian Football League, and have had various interests from the NFL. I'm still playing in the Arena Football League and i am loving it. I have truly been blessed. It was a blessing to see some familiar signatures in this guestbook from people i knew of, been associated with, and graduated with. To my family, most of whom still live around the area, thanks for everything and I love each and everyone of you. Same acknowledgement to the one i love. Thanks for signing this book as well. Rest in Peace to my greatgrandmother. She truly is the reason why Im doing what im doing today. She was the best and she will be greatly missed. And many blessings to all who signed this book and who have represented Manchester proudly and sucessfully. All the best!

Thought I'd take this time to to my yearly update. I still
live in Mackinaw Illinois and work as a Deputy for the McLean County Illinois
Sheriff's Dept. My oldest is about to be 15 and is a hellion football player on
the Normal Community High School 9th grade team. In fact, he will probably be
moved to the 10th grade team shortly. My youngest is about to be 13 and just got
his brown belt in Tae Kwon Do. (For those who don't know, there are 3 stages of
brown belt, then temporary black, then black.) He is scary to watch "do his
martial arts thing!" I wouldn't want to be on his bad side if I were his age! My
kids are my life and I'm here to tell you that this is the only reason I'm still
up here among the midwesterners. Don't get me wrong, I do like it here, but I
miss home. Anyone who knows me, sees this, and wants to respond, please do so at

will have recreation and dances. Do your part by all means. Church services
will be held when it is considered safe from Indians,and
other hazardous conditions. 15. The last rule of the
wagon train is to keep them Stinnett girls away from the
young boys or the boys could get hurt.

I would update. I've been married going on 16 years. Still living in Hogansville
and I still work for the City of Grantville as the City Clerk. My daughters will
be 15 in October, and will be Freshmen at Callaway High School when school
starts back in the fall. My girls made the colorguard(flag corp)for Callaway, so
I will be in Manchester at the football game when Callaway plays Manchester this
fall supporting my girls. (Although I am a true Blue Devil at heart, I will have
to sit on the Callaway side for them!! GO BLUE!!) I visit often, as my parents
and brothers still live in Manchester. Where has everyone gone?? I never see
anyone when I am home!! I graduated with the class of 87 and am still proud to

Manchester was, and still is, a great town. MHS was my old
alma mater too. I have some wonderful memories of those good old days in the
late '60s. I remember Matthews Drive-In. It was a great place (and about the
ONLY place) for the kids to hang out. Great hamburgers too! Manchester is a

The love city
Hi manchester it is so nice to be able to visit my old
hometown on the web. I lived with my girlfriend yu-ping there it was the nice
time i have ever had in my life that was many ,many years ago. I have many great
memories of Manchester . The busy downtown on Saturdays, the movie theater,
spending summer with friends during my summer visits as a student. I don't get
back often so it's a pleasure for me

ex-mother-in law named Rosa Lee Terrell in Manchester. She is one of the finest
ladies around. We see her every so often.

I worked in Manchester in 1977 at radio station WFDR. I was
brought in to program the then "Urban/Black" format. I worked with Jack
Whithorn, Doyle Palmer, Rudy Rutherford and others. Being from the north it was
my first "exposure" to the "Deep South". I do rememeber the grill next door to
the radio station not serving "blacks" at the front counter and refusing a local
(black) the use of it's bathroom "Jake, you know you have to go to the gas
station". This was 1977. I pray that you've risen above these practices.

Born & Raised in Manchester. Moved away in 74 or 75 to
Griffin. Got plenty of kin still stomping them woods. Fondest memory was when
Tex Edmonson was in the pricipals office. Me and some other guys were taken in
for "cusin". He had us wash out our mouths with Ivory soap. Great to see some
old names. Hello to the guys Happy M., Jeff H., Reggie W. Getting caught
"trying" to smoke by Mr.Glencamp. Thanks to Big Hands Mann for the music he
uncovered inside of me and for being there after my father died. Great to be
home again.
