I moved to Riverdale Ga. in 1996 because of work. I came from a sweet small town similar to Manchester. The city was no place for this country lady. So I decided to head for the hills. Grabbed the first paper I could find laying on the floor and looked up Ga farm land for sale. I looked in all the nooks and cranny's just about to give up, I waighted for my paper to give one more shot at a new life. There it was an add "Manchester Ga. 29.12 acres mostley hay feild with small pond fenced completely around." I called the guy and told him to please assure me that if I drive an hour away that it would be pretty hay feild, little bitty pond, big trees, some flat, some with hills, he replied "I'll give you the gas money I'm sure this is the place you have in mind. Drove an hour South of that horrid city pulled up to the gate and never left. I'v met people I'll remember for the rest of my life and probably pass on Main St. at least once a day. Most of theese people have grown somewhat close and have proven to me that I do have a soft side and that life doesn't get any better than this Thanks Manchester

I graduated in 1967, and yes, The Blue Devils were great then too and being on the field during football games was awesome! Well, 32 years later I find myself President of The Band Boosters Club, and the needs of the Band have not changed. Hey, love your pages. A nice crisp and
appealing look. The content is good too.
I'm going to have a look at Manchester.

I will be in your area in the next month
or so with my wife and kids. I like to explore
a bit while they look at butterflys and such
at Callaway. I have noticed an interesting
structure on the Flynt River just northeast of Manchester
that is identified on my topo as "The Cove."
Any idea where I can get the geological scoop
on that place? I looks like it may have
resulted from the Flynt taking various paths
through Pine Mountain over the eons.

This inquiry is nothing more than my idle
curiosity, so don't expend any time or energy.

I grew up in Manchester Am a member of the class of '68. I knew there was a web sight but found it by Blind Luck.
I graduated from Manchester High In 1968
I have four grown children and one granddaughter, Shelby, age 3. All of my kids graduated from Manchester. I still twirl hair for any of you out there who might wonder.
