This is my second trip down memory lane - if there is a paradise on earth, it would be here. I wish I could move back and live here once again, but my husband is a "city" boy. I went to Manchester Elementary from 1953 through 1959 when we moved back to Griffin. I will always remember the beautiful fall when the leaves turn such beautiful colors. I used to go to the movies every Saturday afternoon. My daddy, Emmitt Cone, once owned a hardware store downtown and sold life insurance. He is gone now and he moved out of his hometown, but the hometown never left him in his heart. My mother still lives in Griffin with my sister, Connie. If there is anyone out there who went to grammer school with me, I would love to hear from you. I have two daughters, Kristie who has a daughter Amber, and Stephanie who has a son Kyle. The years are going faster every day.

I was City Manager there from '86 to '88.
